Climb every mountain

Today while browsing the TV channels, I accidentally bumped into the old classic and one of my all time favorite movies of The Sound of Music.

Like many others, I have grown as a kid singing the songs of the movie and just hearing them again after a long time makes you feel so happy. Probably the story, or the Solzberg hills and a typical Switzerland like landscape, or the fun of the children depicted in the movie, or the romance and the optimism towards life at the end – something had touched a chord worth my heart from my childhood days. Hence everytime I watch the movie, I feel so happy and sub consciously sing along with those evergreen songs.

I thought that was a great happy ending of the year of 2012 and as we usher in a new year with lots of hope and optimism, I echo with the words that are relevant even today, relevant for everyone:

” Climb every mountain,
Search high and low,
Follow every highway,
Every path you know.

Climb every mountain,
Ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow,
‘Till you find your dream.

A dream that will need
All the love you can give,
Every day of your life
For as long as you live……”
